In the Super 12 stage match of the T20 World Cup, the match between Zimbabwe and South Africa was inconclusive due to rain and both teams were awarded one point each.

The match played in Hobart got delayed due to rain and the game was restricted to 9 overs.

The Zimbabwean captain won the toss and elected to bat first against South Africa.

The Zimbabwean team suffered from difficulties from the beginning and lost 4 wickets for 35 runs, in the allotted 9 overs, the Zimbabwean team could score 79 runs for 5 wickets.

The rain further disrupted South Africa’s target of 64 runs in 7 overs, South Africa had scored 51 runs without losing a wicket in 3 overs, then the rain started due to which the referee announced the end of the match and both teams were called one by one. Point awarded.

Quinton de Kock remained unbeaten scoring 47 runs but unfortunately could not save his team from losing a point.

Earlier, Bangladesh defeated Netherlands by 9 runs.
