Actress Anushka Sharma and actress Taapsee Pannu appreciated BCCI’s decision to pay equal pay for male and female cricketers.

In a statement on Twitter, Taapsee Pannu thanked the BCCI for setting an example and called it a big step for equal work and equal pay.

Actress Anishka Sharma also shared the news on her Instagram story and praised BCCI’s initiative.

According to the new law of the Indian Cricket Board, women cricketers will also get Rs 15 lakh for playing Test matches, Rs 6 lakh for playing ODIs and Rs 3 lakh for playing T20 matches.

Earlier, women used to get Rs 1 lakh for playing ODIs and T20s and Rs 4 lakhs for playing Test matches.
