Wicketkeeper-batter Kamran Akmal’s journey with Pakistan Super League (PCL) franchise Peshawar Zalmi has come to an end.
Batsman Kamran Akmal, who played for Peshawar Zalmi in all seven seasons of PSL, will now be included in the eighth edition of the draft.
Kamran Akmal announced his separation from Peshawar Zalmi in his Twitter message and said that ‘It’s always hard to say goodbye, 7 years have been great with Peshawar Zalmi’.
He also thanked Peshawar Zalmi owner Javed Afridi and his teammates Wahab Riaz and Darren Sammy for supporting them in every difficult time.
Kamran Akmal said in a video message on his YouTube channel that ‘I am no longer a part of Peshawar Zalmi. Head coach Darren Sammy told me that Peshawar Zalmi will not retain me for PSL 8. I will now be available for selection in the PSL 8 draft’.
“Let’s see which franchise picks me now,” he said.
