The youth who made a ‘sand sketch’ of famous Indian cricketer Virat Kohli have thanked him by making a picture of Pakistani cricketer Shahnawaz Dhani on the sand.
Sameer Shaukat, a ‘sand artist’ from Gadani, told Geo Digital that he painted a portrait of Shah Nawaz Dhani this time to thank him for passing on his art to Virat Kohli.
The youth also made a sketch of paddy in the sand with great effort in front of the Geo Digital team.
The young artist expressed his wish that Shahnawaz Dhani Rashidi should meet the artist team.
He said that he wants other cricketers and celebrities to sketch him so that he can get fame in this field.
Sameer Shaukat has been living in Gadani since childhood. He got interested in sand art after watching his brother. His brother also used to do sand art. Sameer learned this skill from his brother. His team has been learning this skill since 2014 on the shores of Gadani.
This team of young artists has been doing sand art for the past one year and it is also their source of employment.
Between 2020 and 2022, he has sketched several celebrities, including portraits of Abdul Sattar Edhi, Atif Aslam, Ronaldo, Virat Kohli, Messi and former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
There are 6 members in his team including admin Zabi Al Shaukat, Samir Shaukat, Kabir Ahmed, Waqar Noor, Waheed Hanif and Samir Khurshid.
