National cricketer Azam Khan took the critics by storm after Pakistan qualified for the finals.
In a statement on Twitter, Azam said ‘I have been saying since day one to support our team and players’.
He said that ‘when things are going in the right direction, one does not need support, in bad times one needs the support of one’s colleagues’.
Azam Khan wrote ‘I am proud of these people, we made it to the final’.
It should be noted that yesterday, Pakistan qualified for the final by defeating New Zealand in the semi-final.
