
ISLAMABAD: The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has approved to make electricity cheaper for K-electric consumers.
Nepra has also issued a notification in this regard according to which electricity has been reduced by 5 rupees 13 paise per unit under FCA for K Electric customers.
According to the Nepra announcement, K Electric’s September monthly fuel charges adjustment has been reduced by Rs 5 13 paise per unit, which will be applied in the November bills.
Nepra says that K Electric had requested a reduction of Rs 4.62 paise per unit and based on this, the authority held a public hearing on FCA on October 25, 2022.
According to Nepra, the electricity price reduction will not be applicable to lifeline consumers and domestic consumers up to 300 units, while the electricity price reduction will not be applicable to agricultural consumers and electric vehicle charging stations.
