The new wave of corona virus is spreading at an alarming speed in China, but a well-known singer exposed herself to Covid on purpose just for one of her concerts.
According to the South China Morning Post, Jane Zeng, a well-known Chinese singer, revealed that she deliberately exposed herself to the corona virus, which was heavily criticized on social media.
The singer had said that she deliberately exposed herself to Covid-19 so that she could stay safe during the New Year concert.
In a post on Chinese social media site Weibo, Jane Zheng said she had deliberately hung out with friends who had been diagnosed with Covid-19.
He said that ‘I was afraid that the disease might affect my performance on the New Year, so I met people who had been diagnosed with Covid’.
He further said that the symptoms of the disease disappeared after a day due to which his body weight decreased a little.
According to the 38-year-old singer, ‘my symptoms went away after sleeping all day, I didn’t use medicine but drank a lot of water and used vitamin C’.
After this post went viral, many people criticized the singer’s behavior as irresponsible.
After people’s criticism, the singer apologized to the public after deleting the post from social media.
She apologized and said that ‘I didn’t think much about the previous posts, I apologize to the public, I was just afraid that I might encounter covid during the concert and I thought it was inevitable. So I thought it better to get sick and get well myself first.”
