The Bureau of Statistics said that the prices of 23 essential commodities increased in one week, 9 commodities became cheaper and the prices of 19 commodities remained stable.
Statistics Institute says that the price of live chicken has increased by 53 rupees 16 paise and the price per kg has reached 383 rupees 47 paise. The price of onion has increased by 5 rupees 7 paise to 220 rupees 41 paise.
According to the Statistics Institute, basmati rice has become expensive by Rs 7 2 paise, mutton by Rs 9 42 paise, garlic by Rs 3 30 paise and banana by Rs 3 45 paise per dozen.
The Bureau of Statistics said that in a week, potatoes became cheaper by Rs 2 3 paise per kg, domestic LPG cylinder by Rs 21 78 paise and eggs per dozen by Rs 3 67 paise.
