New Zealand beat Pakistan by 79 runs in the second ODI to level the 3-match series 1-1.

Chasing New Zealand’s target of 262 runs, the entire Pakistan team was bowled out for 182 runs in 43 overs, with captain Babar Azam scoring 79 runs.

Apart from this, Muhammad Rizwan 28, Agha Salman 25, Haris Sohail 10, Osama Mir 12, Muhammad Wasim 10, Imamul Haq 6 and Muhammad Nawaz scored 3 runs, Fakhr Zaman and Haris Rauf were out for zero.

On behalf of New Zealand, Tim Southee and Ash Sodhi took 2, 2 while Ferguson, Santner, Bracewell and Phillips dismissed one player each.

In the second match played at the National Bank Arena, Kiwi captain Kane Williamson won the toss and invited Pakistan to field, New Zealand set a target of 262 runs for Pakistan to win.

The New Zealand team was bowled out for 261 runs, Dion Conway 101 and Kane Williamson played an innings of 85 runs.

On behalf of Pakistan, Muhammad Nawaz dismissed 4 players by giving 38 runs while Naseem Shah took 3 wickets, Haris Rauf and Osama Mir took one wicket each.

The series of three ODIs has been leveled at one, the third and deciding match will be played in Karachi on Friday.
