Quetta Gladiators defeated Peshawar Zalmi by 3 runs in the exhibition match of the eighth season of Pakistan Super League (PSL) in Quetta.

In the exhibition match, Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam won the toss and decided to field first against Quetta Gladiators.

In pursuit of the given target of 185 runs, Peshawar Zalmi scored 181 runs for the loss of 7 wickets, Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam got out after scoring 23 runs off 18 balls.

Quetta Gladiators scored 184 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs, Iftikhar Ahmad played an aggressive innings of 94 runs for Quetta Gladiators.

The captain of Quetta Gladiators, Sarfraz Ahmed, was out by scoring 4 runs, while Iftikhar of Quetta scored 94 runs and Khushdil Shah scored 36 runs.

Iftikhar Ahmed hit 6 sixes in the last over of Peshawar Zalmi’s Wahab Riaz to end the innings well.

On behalf of Peshawar Zalmi, Wahab Riaz took three wickets while Amir Jamal and Usama Mir took one wicket each.

Chief Minister Abdul Qadoos Bizenjo, Education Minister Mir Naseebullah, former cricketer Javed Miandad, Mohammad Yusuf and others are watching the match.

On the other hand, a rush of cricket fans was seen outside the stadium on the occasion of the match, in view of which the administration closed the entry points and the exhibition match was stopped due to disorder.

Some fans also protested due to the closure of the entry points and not being allowed to enter, but now that the situation outside the ground is normal, the exhibition match has been restarted.

For the match in Quetta, strict security arrangements have been made in the stadium and surrounding areas, during the match more than 4,000 police and Frontier Corps personnel are performing security duties.
