
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has fined Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja for violating the code of conduct.
Ravindra Jadeja applied cream on his finger during the match, he violated the ICC code of conduct by applying cream on his finger during the match.
Ravindra Jadeja has been fined twenty-five percent of the match fee by the ICC match referee and the Indian all-rounder has also been given one demerit point.
Jadeja was found guilty of violating the ICC Code of Conduct for not informing the field umpires after which the cricketer admitted to applying match cream during the match.
Earlier, the Indian team management said that the reason for applying the cream was swelling in the finger.
It should be noted that India defeated Australia by an innings and 132 runs in the first Test match.
