North Korea has tested a long-range intercontinental ballistic missile.

According to foreign media reports, North Korea fired a missile from a site near the capital Pyongyang on Saturday.

According to reports, the ballistic missile fell into a river in Japan after flying more than 900 km in 67 minutes.

Pyongyang has said that this experiment shows that North Korea is capable of confronting hostile forces such as the US and South Korea.

According to foreign media reports, joint exercises between the US and South Korea are to begin next month to help counter North Korea’s growing nuclear threats.

Pyongyang has threatened to retaliate strongly against any such drills in preparation for an attack on North Korea.
