The franchise owners of Pakistan Super League (PSL) have expressed their desire to hold the matches of the tournament in UAE or USA.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the franchises on the matter of shifting the matches of PSL 8 from Lahore are firm on their position that the Punjab government will not be paid by the PCB for the sake of security. It stands by the decision to hold two matches in Lahore.

According to sources, PCB is of the opinion that it is the government’s responsibility to provide security to foreign players and teams.

Sources say that the franchises want the possibility of holding PSL matches in the United Arab Emirates or the United States to be explored.

Sources say that the Pakistan Cricket Board is sticking to the decision to shift the matches from Lahore.

It should be remembered that Chairman of PCB Management Committee Najam Sethi called Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and informed him about the issue of security expenses, while Najam Sethi has been assured of full support and assistance on behalf of the Prime Minister.
