Pakistan Super League team Islamabad United created a new history in PSL.

Islamabad United defeated Multan Sultans by 2 wickets in the 24th match of HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) yesterday.

Multan Sultans’ target of 206 runs was achieved by Islamabad United in the last over for the loss of 8 wickets.

Chasing the target, Islamabad United needed 18 runs in the last over, on this occasion, Islamabad’s batsman Faheem Ashraf led his team to victory by batting brilliantly.

Thanks to Faheem Ashraf’s unbeaten innings of 51 runs, Islamabad United achieved the target on the 5th ball of the last over at the loss of 8 wickets and thus won by 2 wickets.

With this success, Islamabad United created a new history in PSL.

According to Mazhar Arshad, a cricket statistician, for the first time in the history of PSL, any team has achieved the target of 18 runs in the last (20th) over.

It should be noted that Faheem Ashraf was declared the player of the match for his brilliant batting.
