
Test cricketer Wahab Riaz has taken charge of the Punjab Chief Minister’s Advisor on Sports and Youth Affairs.
After assuming the new responsibilities, he said that he is a sportsman, so he is well aware of the problems of the players, he will try to support the players.
Officials of Sports Board Punjab briefed Wahab Riaz after assuming charge at National Hockey Stadium Lahore.
While talking to the media, Wahab Riaz said that they will try to use all the resources for the development of sports, attention will be given to the welfare of the players.
Wahab Riaz said that there is a need to work on infrastructure and grassroots in Punjab, he has met national hero Olympian Arshad Nadeem to listen to his problems, and will try to remove the obstacles in the way of sports development.
It should be noted that in caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi’s cabinet, Wahab Riaz was nominated as caretaker sports minister, but he could not take the oath of office due to his busy schedule and now he is performing this responsibility as an advisor.
