
In the first 8 months of the current financial year, exports of chemical and pharma products have recorded a decrease of 1.1% on annual basis.
According to the data released by the Federal Bureau of Statistics, in the period from July to February, the export of chemical and pharmaceutical products earned the country 951 million dollars, which is 1.1% less than the same period of the previous financial year.
In the same period of last financial year, the country earned foreign exchange of 961 million dollars from exports of chemical and pharma products.
In February, the export volume of chemical and pharma products was recorded at 103 million dollars, which is 39.5% less than last year’s February.
In February last year, the volume of exports of chemical and pharma products was recorded at 171 million dollars.
Exports of chemical and pharma products recorded a 27.8% decrease on monthly basis in February as compared to January.
Exports of chemical and pharma products were recorded at $143 million in January, which decreased to $103 million in February.
