
Islamabad: The Economic Affairs Division has released the report of the loan received by the Government of Pakistan during the current financial year.
The Economic Affairs Division has issued a monthly report on loans, in which it is stated that Pakistan received a total loan of 7.76 billion dollars in the current financial year from July to March, while the current financial year was estimated to receive more than 22 billion dollars. .
According to the report of Economic Affairs Division, 5 billion dollar loan was taken during this period compared to the previous fiscal year, 12.7 billion dollar loan was taken in the same period last fiscal year.
It has been stated in the report that between July and March of this financial year, more than 4 billion 20 million dollars were received from international financial institutions.
According to the report, the Asian Development Bank provided a loan of 1 billion 94 million dollars, while the World Bank gave a loan of more than 1 billion 10 million dollars. Apart from this, Pakistan received a loan of more than 1 billion 16 million dollars from the IMF.
According to the report of the Economic Affairs Division, Saudi Arabia has given more than $880 million in loans to Pakistan and more than $780 million for oil facilities. Saudi Arabia has provided $100 million in project financing. .
According to the report, in the current financial year from July 2022 to March 2023, a loan of 900 million dollars was received from commercial banks, while Pakistan received more than 610 million dollars from Naya Pakistan certificate.
