Bureau of Statistics has released a weekly report on inflation.

According to the Institute of Statistics, inflation increased in the first week after Ramadan and the inflation rate increased by 0.15 percent to 46.82 percent.

Bureau of Statistics said that in a week, 21 items became expensive, 7 items decreased in price and 23 essential items remained stable in price.

According to the Institute of Statistics, the price of potato increased by 8.22%, chicken by 1.75%, flour by 1.55%, jaggery by 1.23% and bread by 1.13%.

According to the Bureau of Statistics, tomatoes became cheaper by 19.20%, bananas by 5.39%, sugar by 1.19% and onions by 1.40% in a week.
