
Islamabad: The government has changed the interest rates of national savings schemes.
The average return on Special Savings Certificates has been increased to 17.40%. The interest rate on savings accounts has been increased from 18.5% to 19.50%.
The yield on one-year short-term savings certificates has been increased from 19.82 to 20.80 percent. The yield of 6-month short-term savings certificates has been increased to 20.82 percent.
The yield on three-month short-term certificates has been increased from 19.92 to 20.84 percent, while the rate of return on Defense Savings Certificates has remained at 14.87 percent.
The yield of Pensioners, Welfare and Martyr Families Certificates remained at 16.56 percent while the yield of Regular Income Certificates remained at 12.84 percent.
