
The State Bank of Pakistan says that the remittances sent by overseas Pakistanis have recorded a decrease this year compared to the first ten months of the previous financial year.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan, Pakistanis living abroad have sent two billion twenty one million dollars to their homeland in April this year.
Compared to March of this year, April remittances were 326.1 million dollars less, while Pakistanis living in Saudi Arabia sent 75.5 million dollars less to Pakistan in April.
According to the State Bank, including the remittances of April, expatriates have sent 22 billion 74 million dollars to Pakistan in the ten months of this financial year.
Compared to the first ten months of the previous financial year, a decrease of thirteen percent or 3 billion 40 million dollars was recorded this year.
In ten months, the remittances sent from the Middle East remained 2 billion 420 million dollars less, while from the United Kingdom 260 million, 215 million from the European Union, 140 million from Australia, while Pakistanis living in Canada lost 130 million dollars in 10 months. Remittances have been sent.
According to State Bank data, the remittances of American workers have increased by 6 million dollars in the first ten months of this year.
