Federal Finance Minister Ishaq Dar says that the IMF should do the agreement if it wants to do it, if it does not want to do it, then it should not do it, but we cannot take any more difficult decisions on its demand.

In Islamabad, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar while talking informally to the media said that the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has taken the previous measures, but they can no longer do so.

He said that if the IMF wants to make an agreement, then do it, if it does not want to do it, then don’t do it, we cannot make more difficult decisions on its demand.

Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that there is a plan for external payments of 3.7 billion dollars in May and June, there is no problem in the payments of 3.7 billion, it is hoped that China will roll over another 2.4 billion dollars of Pakistan’s debt.

Ishaq Dar further informed that the budget will be presented on June 9.

Earlier yesterday, expressing the delay in the staff level agreement with the IMF, the Federal Finance Minister had said that rumors about Pakistan’s default should not be spread, global politics based on injustice towards Pakistan should end.

It should be noted that while talking to the international organization Bloomberg, the IMF spokesperson had said that the talks with Pakistan on the issue of debt are going on, there was no indication of a deadlock in the talks from Pakistan.

IMF said that Pakistan has assured not to give petrol subsidy while seeking assurance from Pakistan on policy issues.
