
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad arrived in Saudi Arabia to attend the Arab League meeting after twelve years of Syria’s re-joining in the Arab League.
According to Arab media, Syrian President Bashar al-Assad arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to participate in the 32nd session of the Arab League.
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad was welcomed by Saudi authorities on his arrival at Jeddah Airport.
President of Egypt, King Hamad bin Isa of Bahrain, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas have also arrived in Jeddah.
Saudi Arabia invited the Syrian president after Syria rejoined the Arab League.
In 2012, Syria was expelled from the Arab League and most Arab countries severed relations with Syria in response to the Syrian government’s mistreatment of people and protesters in the Syrian civil war.
